Low lying Natives

These lists only contain small low lying plants known to be found in Nurseries and Garden Centers.

Locate your area by clicking on the magnifying glass icon located on the map. Then enter your address and hit enter, if your address was found, click the blue shaded area closet to your property. Click on the blue shaded area around your house, if your area does not have a blue shade, click on the closest blue shaded area.

If your address cannot be found, you will need to zoom into your area manually. Use the plus symbol to zoom in, and use the minus symbol to zoom out, these are located above the search icon. You can also double click to zoom in, or use your mouses scroll wheel.

These maps provide a list of New Jersey’s native plants, selected for your local soil type. We considered three soil types; sand, slit, and clay.

The soil data is obtained through the USDA soil survey and the plant lists were obtained through The NRCS PLANTS Database . The data has been modified from its original state.
